rotation 3

Using the law building as our main concept for idea thinking, we explored the site using its surrounding concepts and going away to produce a model which captures the selected idea.

i found this workshop confusing at first, as it was new and open, although as it progressed i found it to be quite interesting and fun, allowing us to explore our creativeness and how to collaborate with partners as a team to produce something spectacular in the end.

learning how to play with a series of vignettes to create a storyboard illustrating a journey through architecture, with the aid of motifs to help guide the readers understanding of the narrative.

found workshop really helpful as it taught me to draw better, but more importantly how to express my ideas into drawings and produce what the intended idea on paper.

Bridge walkway to Miranda's office

Surround beams supporting slanted building, tension-like beams being aided by Kerr.

Miranda Kerr's workspace, showing aesthetical colours, alongside a mechanical texture to further the idea of the crane symbolism.

Environment

(pic1)Underwater meeting space with interconnecting rib like structures- emphasising interrelating protection and support.

(pic2)Miranda Kerr's space, a lifted room, which is a simple cube, although complex within- having endless turns and walls, finally leading to her main workspace. Has a crane-like emphasise as it symbolises the conectedness between her and Angela Merkel, supporting one another i.e governmental and humanitarian work collaborative need.

(pic3)Angela Merkel's workspace, having a Romanesque facade with a large building behing supported with circling support beams that span to Miranda's building, hence creating the bridge and relation. Again having the ribs to further the support and protection.

Mash-up

"The shifting power equation", sums up the global situation. Many things we thought were totally immovable are being shifted around. This having an effect as "avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing."

Although nothing is easy. There is an enormous amount of rejection in this industry and you have to be really strong to withstand it, although with this in mind it is the idea that if we are "alone we can do so little... together we can do so much."

If it is your dream then believe in it and follow it and don`t lose sight of yourself in the process. To be your absolute best treat it with respect emotionally and physically. A body can`t shine on the outside unless it is healthy on the inside.

Image Captures And Architecture

the centre hill meeting point, accompanied by natural trees for a holistic and natural approach.

Stephen Hawkings lab, illustrating the realm of four dimensioning, which i have tried to implement into every aspect.

The design at first sight looks as if it is all one single supported component, whereas when looked upon closer, it is four unsupported components, which i have actually got to move around within the crysis game, hence emphasizing the 4d notion of time.

this shows the use of lighting, and also how the texture applied furthers the idea of extra dimensioning, attempting to trick the eyes into something surreal.

this is Charles Darwin's lab, illustrating the idea of interrelating dependant components in order for support. it also incorporates some deception, as the supporting beam is actually broken, pretending to be the main source of suppoort, whereas the support is actually to the left.

the use of camouflaging texture is applied to seperate the connectedness between the clients

Landform

The intended landform was to have a flat hill between the client's labs, having an outside world as a meeting point, as to exchange wordings in an environment which is more tranquil and natural.

This image shows the landform acting as a ramp from the water, where the clients would come from a boat, towards the upper level of the lab.

The two landform ramps from seaside.
